Glossary for Entrepreneurial Writers

A dictionary is a writer's second-best friend.Since this blog will be focused on teaching entrepreneurs and writers how to create multiple streams of income, let’s begin with an informal glossary of three important terms.

  • Things that matter: Anything of lasting importance or value to an individual. My list includes faith and family, words, travel, home, freedom, and more. I believe that writers and other entrepreneurs work best when they’re working with ideas and things that matter most to them, so that’s one thing I’ll advocate throughout my posts.
  • Entrepreneurial writer: A person who writes with the goal of earning income from his or her work.
  • Streams of income: Any amount of money that flows to you from any source. This may include book sales, a salary, speaking fees, freelance service income, AdSense on your website or blog, rental income, royalties, affiliate income, dividends, or anything else. The goal is to create multiple streams of income in order to create financial stability.

There’s a lot more to know, but these are the basics. I don’t know everything, but I’ve been doing this and teaching it for quite awhile, and it’s a great way to earn a living. Enjoy!
